About Me
My husband, Tim, and I have three sons: Kyle, Kelden, and Kole. Kyle is married to Brooke, and they had their first child in May. Bennet Lee is our sunshine and makes everything better.
I grew up in Hanover, where my mom and dad owned a small weekly newspaper, The Hanover News, for 52 years. My dad passed away in April of 2018 - after working all day putting out what would be his last paper. My mom still ives in the house I grew up in. I have four sisters and one brother, as well as 12 nieces and nephews and 22 greats - all whom I love to spoil and spend time with. Next to "Mom" and "Grandma," my favorite title is Aunt B.
My hobbies include spending time with my big family, reading, writing, watching movies, and taking pictures. I also enjoy watching the Kansas City Chiefs and the Kansas City Royals, as well as my students' activities.
In June of 2022, I stepped back into my role as school counselor after serving DCHS as principal for three years while continuing to teach senior English and journalism. I am so excited to continue counseling and teaching at DCHS where I am much more comfortable.
I've spent my entire teaching career at DCHS. There is no place I would rather be!
